Recycled Paintings, 2006-present, acrylic and marker text on used art
My first exposure to art was paint-by-numbers and kitschy reproductions of sentimental landscapes. I have collected these works from my grandmother, my great-aunt, and the house I grew up in. I buy more of them at dime stores and Goodwill outlets. These paintings are ripe for recycling and critique.
